BOOKS

The New Inductive Study Bible

This is the study Bible I've been using for the past 20 years. I love the wide margins, and sometimes I enjoy using the study guide at the beginning of each book.

How to Eat Your Bible

By Nate Pickowicz | This quick, practical guide lives up to its subtite: "A Simple Approach to Learning and Loving the Word of God".

How to Read the Bible for All Its Worth

By Gordon D. Fee & Douglas Stuart | An excellent Christian classic to help you understand every part of the Bible.

How to Study Your Bible

By Kay Arthur, David Arthur, and Pete De Lacy | This is the first book I read that taught me the inductive Bible study method.

The Daily Walk Bible

This Bible isn't for study, but it's my favorite one for simple reading. I prefer this format over The One Year Bible. There are helpful outlines and brief notes throughout.

30 Days to Understanding the Bible

By Max Anders | A straightforward guide that helped me put Scripture into context.

How to Study Your Bible for Kids

By Kay Arthur & Janna Arndt | I cannot recommend this entire series highly enough. I went through several with our kids and they effectively taught how to study the Bible for yourself.

STUDY TOOLS

Moleskine Notebooks

These are my favorite notebooks because I can fold them completely open without wrecking the binding. The lines are slightly closer together than some notebooks, which I also like.

MildLiner Highlighters

I have these in many colors. I like that they have two tips—one for highlighting and a fine tip for underlining or jotting notes. These don't bleed through the pages of my Bible.

Pilot Precise V5 Pens

My favorite pens of all time. So many colors, super fine point, retractable, doesn't bleed through my Bible pages. Mm. Mm. Mm. So good.

Crayola Twistables

I use these to highlight large chunks of text. There's definitely no bleed-through because it's a wax crayon.

Pentel Slicci 25 mm Pen

This is actually the pen I have tucked into the binding of my Bible at all times. It also doesn't bleed, and it's a super fine point, so it's easy to write small in the tiniest spaces.

Post It Notes

I write notes directly into my Bible during sermons. But sometimes the page is too full or I want to write something to refer to later. So I keep a post-it note pad stuck inside the front cover of my Bible to use in these scenarios.

OTHER USEFUL RESOURCES

Dwell

A wonderful app that allows you to hear God's Word anywhere. Great for listening on the go or for those who don't love to read. Options to include music and use different voices.
