Inspiring women to love God’s Word and experience its transforming power for every season of life and writing.
Are you a Word woman—a believer in God’s Word and a writer of words?
You are? Well! We’re friends already!
I’m Jana.
For many years, I thought the Bible was boring, hard to understand, and irrelevant to my own life.
But amid the ordinary days of being a wife, mom, and writer—often in the crucible of suffering—God’s Word transformed every aspect of my life.
My deepest desire is for you to experience that, too.
That’s why I write.

God’s Word is more than information—it’s about transformation. As such, I want the moments you spend reading my words to be worthwhile—not mere entertainment or pleasant procrastination, but truly beneficial.
My devotionals, personal stories, and articles share the life-changing truths I’ve discovered about God in His Word. May you be encouraged and inspired to dig deeper into the Bible and to know and love Jesus more.
The Bible is God’s Word to you. Yes, you without a college degree, you with a poor memory, and you with the full plate and the many hats. God loves you, He wants a relationship with you, and He speaks directly to you through His Word.
My desire is to help you overcome intimidation and discouragement over your struggle to read, study, and memorize God’s Word by sharing accessible tools that really work.
You don’t have to look hard to find helpful resources about the technical aspects of writing and all things related to publishing. But fewer resources address writing from a spiritual, God-glorifying, Bible-based perspective. What does the Bible have to say about writing? And how do we write for God’s glory?
At Wield The Word we explore biblical answers to the deeper questions aspiring Christian writers ask through articles, group mentorship, and more.

Few things are more enjoyable to me than sitting down with a notebook and calendar, setting goals, scheduling tasks, and planning to accomplish great things.
