Worthy Words 1

Worthy Words (August 4)

I’ve stood here for a solid ten minutes, trying to think of a Scripture to bless you with, or an interesting tidbit to share with you, and I’ve come up blank.

And that’s perfectly fine, because the purpose of the weekly Worthy Words posts is to share the words of others! May you find this week’s collection immensely enriching!

This week on the blog: When You Know You’re Unworthy

WARRING WITH ALL OF CREATION | BRITTANY LEE ALLEN

A truly enjoyable read. With a healthy dose of humor, Brittany shares her “cosmic battle with principalities and squirrels”, vine borers, and carpenter bees. Then calms the chaos with a pleasant reflection on a better future.

WHEN GOD’S VICTORY HIDES UNDER THE MESS | DAVY ELLISON

“In Judges, Samson’s antics stick in our nostrils like the stench of a shipload of onions. His behavior is revolting. It’s a crash course in how not to live. But take a deep breath, plug your nose, rummage around a little, and before long you’ll discover the real cargo—the truth that our God can and will bring his plans and purposes to fruition despite his people’s antics.”

EIGHT WAYS TO USE THE PSALMS | KEVIN HALLORAN

“The Psalms are a unique treasure of Scripture that connect a believer’s head and heart in a rich and vivid way. While most of Scripture delivers words from God to man, the Psalms provide man with Spirit-inspired words to pray and sing to God.”

WHEN YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE SPENDING TIME WITH GOD | ASHLEY ANTHONY

“Why is it that some days we struggle to spend time with God? We know all of the benefits. We know that we’ll regret it if we don’t, and we know that we’ll love it once we start. Yet often, our hearts just don’t feel like they’re in it…Friends, we’ve all been here, but we don’t have to stay here.”

LET’S LAUGH | KRISTIN COUCH

Sometimes we just need something lighthearted and fun. Here, Kristin shares a few funny experiences her family enjoyed belly laughs over. Take a quick read and join them!

Thank you for considering these words worthy of your time! To God be all the glory!
