These days, I find the mental energy required for meal planning almost impossible.
When I ask my husband for ideas, he often says, “Let’s keep it simple.”
Translation: a bowl of cereal.
I can do cereal! It really doesn’t get much simpler than that! I could serve it with my eyes closed.
In 2 Kings 3, the land and its inhabitants (people and animals) were suffering from a long dry spell. But the Lord promised to do the impossible. Without sending rain, He would fill the valley with water.
Verse 18 says, “But this is only a simple thing for the Lord…”
To the human mind, it was completely impossible. But to the Lord, it was as simple as pouring a bowl of cereal.
What impossible thing do you need today?
Nothing is impossible with our faithful, mighty God!
Or maybe you’re in a dry spell. No matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to get out of it.
It’s simple for God. He can restore your soul and fill up the valley of your heart to overflowing again!
